"We rented Chateau d'Aix for a week in the summer for a large family holiday. This stunning rustic old castle was perfect for all of us and exceeded expectations, plenty of room, spectacular grounds and pool, very comfortable bedrooms. We were warmly welcomed by the owners Steffi and Hugues,they were always available if we needed anything. We loved it so much that we returned as a couple in late summer and stayed in the beautiful gite in the Chateau grounds. We will definitely be returning!! “Our stay at Chateau d'Aix was a once in a lifetime experience. The grounds are beautiful, every room is big, spacious, clean and luxurious. The kitchen is the best stocked I've ever seen and the apple orchard, outdoor dining spot and grounds (with locals donkeys) are all beautiful. 

The pool is large and is kept clean, tucked away in the hills for privacy. 

Miranda/Steffi were always on hand to help, offer advice or ask questions. She is incredibly kind and patient and made our stay as comfortable as possible. We couldn't recommend her and the whole experience more.

You have a stunning communal dining space on a veranda outside, and the kitchen has everything you would need to cook for large groups. The pool is private and large, a really gorgeous set up. Steffi was brilliant at making sure we had everything we needed and even arranged a caterer, Miranda, one evening for our big group who was fantastic - would definitely recommend making the most of this, as well as visiting the Chateau’s vineyard which can also be arranged. “We had the most incredible and memorable week staying at the Chateau d’Aix, from the moment we arrived we were all blown away by how beautiful the chateau and it’s surrounding country side were. All of the bedrooms are so unique and well put together, each with a stunning view over the grounds. We were a large group and spent most of our time eating and drinking under the veranda outside of the kitchen, a really magical dining spot. Our days were spent lounging around the gorgeous pool that is tucked below the Chateau.

We rarely wanted to leave, but we did make the most of the local tennis courts, vineyard and local town markets in the evening to enjoy the food and wine of the region, which Steffi was incredibly kind to help organise. 

Throughout the week, whatever we needed Steffi would always be very happy to help and she really made the experience at the Chateau d’Aix as enjoyable for us as possible.

It truly was a once in a lifetime week and we hope we can replicate it again soon.“

It was absolutely delicious, immaculately presented and she was such a wonderful, smiling presence.
